Section 144 Imposed In UP’s Gautam Buddha Nagar Till Nov 30 Amid Festivals
Mumbai: The Police Commissionerate of UP’s Gautam Buddha Nagar imposed Section 144 CrPC from October 31 to November 30 in view of the COVID-19 pandemic ahead of upcoming festivals.
“In view of the COVID-19 pandemic ahead of the upcoming festivals, Section 144 of CrPC has been imposed in Gautam Buddh Nagar from October 31 to November 30,” the release said.
Social gatherings are not permitted in the district without any permission while wearing masks and maintaining social distancing is mandatory, the release said.
It said, “Gyms, restaurants, stadiums will allow only 50 per cent of their total capacity till further orders. A maximum of 100 people is allowed in marriages.”
At present, Uttar Pradesh has 107 active cases of coronavirus infection including nine fresh cases in the last 24 hours and total recoveries including 10 new recoveries in a single day at 16,87,145, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare informed on Monday.
