Series Of Blasts Occur At Palghar Firecracker Factory, 5 Severely Injured

Mumbai: A series of explosions took place at a firecracker manufacturing unit in Dahanu in Palghar district of Maharashtra on Thursday, a video of which was shared by the State Disaster Management Authority.

The explosion took place this morning triggering a huge fire at the manufacturing unit that could be seen from kilometres away.

Five severely injured people were hospitalised, said Palghar District Collector’s Office.

Fire tenders were at the spot and fire fighting operations were underway when the reports last came in.
