Mumbai: A party leader said that Shiv Sena’s newly elected MPs will take the oath of 17th Lok Sabha.
Uddhav Thackeray-led party Shiv Sena won 18 of the total 48 seats in Maharashtra. However, Shiv Sena’s allies BJP secured 23 seats.
“MPs have the option of language in which they can take an oath. We are proud of the Marathi language and our land.
Apart from this, Shivsena was born to protect and promote Marathi. Therefore, all our MPs will swear in Marathi, “Kirtan’s Shivsena MP Shrikant Shinde said Monday night.
The first session of the 17th Lok Sabha is likely to start from June 6 and go on till June 15.
