Some People Think They Are Born To Rule: Shinde On Uddhav

Mumbai: Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde said that he was not born with a “golden spoon” and is a common man.

A day after returning from Delhi where he met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and home minister Amit Shah Shinde launched a veiled attack on Uddhav Thackeray. “Some people think they are born to rule. I am not the one to have been born with a golden spoon. They should have felt proud that a common man has assumed the chair.”

Shinde said the rival Shiv Sena camp has filed several petitions in the Supreme Court, but the verdict will be in favour of his camp.

“They are filing the petition at night and early in the morning. But the court also knows. We have majority numbers to rule. We have not done anything illegal,” Shinde said.

The Supreme Court on Monday heard a fresh petition filed by the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena faction, opposing the Maharashtra governor’s June 30 decision inviting BJP-backed rebel MLAs to form the government in the state. went. went away. walked away. What will happen

Other petitions related to the issue of the trust vote, the appointment of a Chief Whip in the Assembly by the newly-elected Speaker and disqualification petitions against 16 rebel Shiv Sena MLAs are also scheduled to be heard in the Supreme Court on Monday.

He also took a dig at Uddhav Thackeray’s supporters, some of whom claimed Shinde’s “gratitude” for having betrayed the Shiv Sena despite being given all kinds of responsibilities by the party.

Shinde’s rebellion along with 39 MLAs of Sena led to the collapse of the MVA government headed by Uddhav Thackeray last month.

Shinde took oath as the chief minister on June 30 with BJP’s Devendra Fadnavis as deputy chief minister.
