Speeding Car Rams Into Man On Bike, Throws Woman 50 Metres away In TN
Mumbai: A speeding car rammed into a bike-borne elderly man and hit a woman walking on a road in Tamil Nadu’s Coimbatore, a video of which also surfaced online. As per the CCTV footage that has gone viral on social media, the impact was such that the pedestrian was flung 50 metres into the air.
According to India Today, the woman, named as Leelavathi from Sindhamani, was travelling to work when the sped-up automobile struck the bike and then slammed into her.
According to the image, the woman was seen crossing the Kennedy Theatre area before being struck by the four-wheeler and being thrown a distance of several metres. She fell onto the car’s hood and was pulled a short distance by it.
The reckless motorist was put into custody as the two victims were transferred to a local hospital in Gandhiouram.
The accused driver, named as Udham Kumar, was arrested and charged in accordance with the IPC’s and the Motor Vehicle Act’s pertinent provisions.
