State And Centre Both Have To Come Together And Fight Against Pandemic: Sharad Pawar

Mumbai: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) president Sharad Pawar on Thursday urged both the Centre and the state to come together and find a way out of the pandemic.

His statement comes after complaints by the Maha Vikas Aghadi government over the shortage of coronavirus vaccine and Centre’s counter of below-par vaccination of eligible age groups in some states and wastage of vaccine

“The central government is cooperating with the state government in this difficult time of the pandemic. We all have to come together and fight this menace. State and Centre both have to come together and find out a way to fight the pandemic,” Pawar said on Facebook Live.

Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope said on Wednesday that several districts were likely to run out of COVID-19 vaccine stock in three days, to which the Centre replied that the state has been supplied over one crore doses to date and more than seven lakh shots are being sent.

A total of 1,06,19,190 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been provided to the state so far, of which 90,53,523 jabs have been consumed, ANI reported citing government sources. The government further said that a total of 7,43,280 doses for the state are in the pipeline.
