Talks Of RJD-JD(U) Alliance All Imaginary: Tejashwi Yadav

Mumbai: RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav refuted all rumours of RJD attempting to forge an alliance with Janata Dal (United) and said that the speculations surrounding the alliance are “imaginary”.

“It’s all fiction. When I went to Delhi to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, it was my initiative, not Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s. Does this mean I was in alliance with the BJP?” News agency ANI has quoted Tejashwi Yadav as saying.

Speculation has intensified in Bihar’s political circles after Yadav and Kumar attended iftar parties organized at each other’s residences and expressed similar views on the caste-based census in Bihar.

This clarification comes hours before the meeting on the caste-based census. CM Nitish Kumar will hold an all-party meeting in Patna to discuss the issue of the caste-based census in Bihar. Barring the JD(U), RJD, left-wing AIMIM and Kumar’s ally BJP, all other political parties have supported the exercise.
