The Lion King: Shahrukh Khan Redubbed A Whole Scene As Both Father-Son Duo Sounded Same

Mumbai: Bollywood King Shahrukh Khan is all set for lending his voice to Mufasa and his son Aryan to Simba in the upcoming film ‘The Lion King’ Hindi version.

Meanwhile, sharing one of the memory while dubbing the scene Shahrukh said that, “We were listening to one of the scenes and all the experts in the dubbing theatre said I sounded like him (Aryan). They told me I’d have to dub the scene again because we sounded too much like each other, which I never thought was the case,”

“It was a sweet thing for a father to know, it was extremely special and heart-warming,” he added.

Meanwhile, he also shared his dubbing experience was a special one for the father-son duo.

“For me, the experience of dubbing with Aryan is very personal. I had time to spend professionally with him. I am a professional actor and I have to do this, but my family is never really associated with my work,” Khan said.

“So, this is very good, ‘When we did ‘The Incredibles’, then Aryan was about nine years old. Then listening to his voice was very sweet, and it is still good to hear, the time spent with him in his work line is special. It’s a good time for Aryan, for me, “he said.

The Lion King, directed by John Favaryu, travels to African Savannah, where a future king is born. Simba places an idol of her father, Raja Mufassa, and keeps his own royal fortune in mind.

However, Scar-Mufasa’s brother and the former heir of the throne – have his plans. There are a tragedy and drama in the Battle of Pride Rock and result in the exile of Simba.

The Lion King opens on July 19 in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu versions.
