Title Of Rajkummar, Janhvi’s ‘Roohi Afza’ Changed To ‘Roohi Afzana’

Roohi Afzana is now slated for an April 2020 release, pushed back from a March release

Mumbai: The title of Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor’s horror-comedy film ‘Roohi Afza’ has been changed to ‘Roohi Afzana’. This is the second time that the title of the film has been changed, which was first titled ‘Rooh Afza’

Producer Dinesh Vijan said in a statement, “For Mahila Pradhan, we needed someone who could portray two contrasting personalities effortlessly and Janhvi stood out, she was really attached to the script. Her talent is still raw, but she is excited about getting moulded. The screenplay is young, refreshing and completely insane, and is exactly the same.”

This will be Rajkumar’s third collaboration with Dinesh Vijan after Stree and Made in China. Talking about the choice of Rajkumar and Varun for the film, Dinesh had said: “For Rooh-Afza, we needed actors who could jump into their roles without conviction. Rajkumar and Varun are phenomenal actors, comedy is a place which they consider to be excellent in itself. ”

The news was breaked by Maddock Films as they announced their upcoming projects including Imtiaz Ali’s untitled next, starring Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan; Angrezi Medium, starring Irrfan Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan; Mimi, starring Kriti Sanon; and Shiddat, starring Radhika Madan and Sunny Kaushal.
