Uddhav Thackeray To Take Oath As Maharashtra CM On Dec 1

Mumbai: After BJP has left the battleground in Maharashtra politics it is clear that Maha Vikas Aghadi will form its government in the state.

In view of the current political situation in the state, Congress leaders and MLAs, NCP and Shiv Sena gathered at Mumbai’s Trident Hotel for a joint meeting on Tuesday evening and passed a resolution in the name of Uddhav Thackeray. The next Chief Minister of Maharashtra. During the meeting, the leaders selected him as the leader of ‘Maha Vikas Aghadi’.

Proposing Uddhav Thackeray’s name as Chief Minister, Congress leader Balasaheb Thorat took the decision after endorsing the proposal taken by NCP leader Jayant Patil.

Passing the resolution, Jayant Patil said that everyone wants Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray to lead the coalition as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra.

Confirming the resolution, NCP chief Sharad Pawar said, “Three representatives of Maha Vikas Agari” will meet the Governor today. The oath-taking ceremony will be held on 1 December at Shivaji Park, Mumbai.’

As per the resolution, Uddhav Thackeray will meet Governor BS Koshyari at 9 PM on Tuesday night to stake claim to form the government in the state. However, the oath-taking ceremony will be held on December 1 at 5 PM.
