Uttarakhand Govt Extends ‘Janta curfew’ Till Mar 31: Trivendra Singh Rawat

Mumbai: In a view of Coronavirus Pandemic, Uttarakhand will continue with ‘Janta curfew’ said state Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat.

Essential services such as food and medicines will be available in the state.

ANI quoted Rawat saying, “Following the nationwide curfew that was observed today against coronavirus, we have decided to continue curfew across the state till March 31. However, essential services, such as food and medicines, will be available to all.”

In addition, inter-city and inter-state bus services will remain suspended until 31 March. The chief minister has asked people to minimize travel during the lockdown.

“We have decided that inter-city and inter-state bus services will remain suspended until March 31. People must travel minimum during the lockdown, not to leave the city or village where they are currently residing at other locations,” said.

As per the ICMR, 341 people have tested positive for coronavirus in India as of March 22.
