West Bengal Violence: Compensation Of ₹2L Each For Victims Of Post-Poll Violence Announces CM Mamata Banerjee

Mumbai: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh each for those killed in post-election violence in the state.

The CM said that he would get compensation without any discrimination.

Accusing the BJP of inciting people, the CM claimed that they were not really ready to accept the mandate.

“16 were killed by the Election Commission under law and order, of which half belonged to TMC and half to BJP, Sanjukta Morcha,” he said.

Mamta launched a scathing attack on the Center, saying that Mamata said they didn’t send a team after the Delhi riots and Hathras incident but now central teams are coming to West Bengal.

“BJP leaders are roaming, they are provoking. There are not even 24 hours for the new government, they are sending letters, teams and leaders are coming. They are not really ready to accept the mandate. I request them to accept people’s mandate,” she added.

He also said that if a minister comes to Bengal, he will have to give RT-PCR a negative report otherwise it will be tested.

He said that special flights coming to the state would also be investigated.

The CM also raised the issue of free immunization and said that he had not yet received a reply from the PM.

“Why are they not allocating Rs 30,000 crore for vaccines, spending Rs 20,000 crore when they are building new parliaments and statues,” he said.
