117 Active COVID-19 Cases Reported In Kerala

Mumbai: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said on Tuesday that with 19 new COVID-19 cases, the total number of active cases in the state has increased to 117.

Of the new cases, 10 are from Kannur, four from Palakkad, three from Kasaragod, and one from Malappuram and Kollam.

Of the 19 individuals who tested positive for COVID-19, 12 have foreign travel history.

Vijayan further stated that in Pathanamthitta, a woman belonging to the first group of COVID-19 cases is positive even after 36 days.

“How coronovirus behaves cannot be estimated. Even after repeating the test every alternate day, the patient is positive. His condition is stable,” the chief minister said.

According to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India’s tally has increased to 18,985 positive COVID-19 cases, of which 15,122 patients are active in COVID-19 cases and 3260 patients have recovered/discharged and migrated.

603 patients have died due to the deadly virus.
