12-Year-Old Hirl Sexually Harassed In Gurugram, Accused Arrested
Mumbai: A 24-year-old man was arrested in Gurugram for allegedly sexually harassing a 12-year-old girl. The accused has been identified as Sanjay (24) and he works as a labourer, said police.
According to the complaint lodged by the girl’s father, her 12-year-old daughter, who is studying in class 6, was being sexually abused for a long time.
“Earlier I took the matter to the panchayat where Sanjay was asked to not do such a thing again but on Tuesday, I was going to pick up my daughter from her tuition class when the accused sexually harassed her. Finally, I moved to police,” the girl’s father said.
After the complaint, an FIR was registered against the accused under POCSO Act at Bhondsi police station late on Tuesday night.
“The accused has been arrested and has confessed to the same. We are interrogating him and he will be produced in the city court tomorrow.”
