12-Yr-Old Delhi Girl Found Pregnant, Rape Case Filed Against Relative

Mumbai: Delhi Police have apprehended a 16-year-old boy for allegedly raping and impregnating a 12-year-old girl. The accused, who’s said to be the victim girl’s relative, had come to Delhi and was living in her house.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Sagar Singh Kalsi said that the victim’s mother had recently lodged a complaint against the accused that her daughter was raped.

The DCP said, “The incident is of last November when the accused had come to Delhi to attend the marriage of his relative and was staying at the complainant’s house,” the DCP said.

Recently, the victim girl started experiencing abdominal pain after which her mother took her to the hospital and found out that she was pregnant.

Thereafter, the woman reported the matter to the police, who on the basis of her complaint lodged an FIR under Section 376 (rape) and Section 6 of the POCSO Act.

“The accused has been apprehended and further investigation is underway,” Kalsi added.
