13-Year-Old Boy Drowns While Swimming With Friends In B’luru Lake

Mumbai: A 13-year-old boy’s body was recovered from a lake in Bengaluru’s Sarjapura after he drowned while swimming with a group of his friends. The deceased has been identified as Santosh, a Vidyanagar resident who was studying in Class 7 at a private school.

According to the police, Santosh went to school on Saturday and then went to Doddakere Lake in Sarjapura with a group of friends after class. The group of friends took a dip in the water and swam for a while and started playing here and there. Then he came to know that Santosh is missing.

Realizing that Santosh is lost in the lake, his friends fall into the water and spend some time trying to find him. When they were not able to find him, they became apprehensive and informed the locals.

As soon as the information about the incident was received, the administration started searching for the boy. But it was difficult to detect him in the dark of night. The boy’s body was recovered from the pond on Sunday morning.

“We have started an investigation into an unnatural death,” the Sarjapura police department said.
