2 Decomposed Bodies Found In 2 Cars In Ganga Canal After Water Level Dips In UP

UP: Two decomposed bodies were found inside two cars that were pulled out from the Ganga canal in Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar. The cars surfaced during a desilting process when the water level in the canal went down.

According to a report by NDTV, one of the dead bodies is of Dilshad Ansari. He was 27 years old. His body was found lying on the back seat of the car. Ansari, a resident of Baghra area of ​​Muzaffarnagar, was missing since the beginning of this year. The police have so far come to know that before going missing, Ansari had taken his friend’s car to go somewhere but did not return. His brother Wajid Ansari had also lodged a missing complaint at New Mandi police station.

Scenes showed a crane lifting up a car from a canal. The report states that the second body is that of Harendra Dutt Atre. Ansari’s body was found 55 km from the place from where it was found. Atre was missing since February. He had left home at seven o’clock in the evening to go to Meerapur for some work, but never returned home. The relatives had lodged a missing complaint at Kotwali.

A video from the sport where Atra’s body was found showed a mangled white car and a posse of policemen around it. “The family has been informed after identifying the body. Further investigation is being conducted and action will be taken accordingly,”  Deputy Superintendent of Police Himanshu Gaurav was quoted as saying.
