2 Fall To Death From Plane Leaving Kabul After Tying Themselves To Its Wheels

Kabul: Two people who had reportedly tied themselves to the wheels of an aircraft leaving the airport in Kabul fell to their deaths after the plane took off.

Videos have surfaced showing the two people falling as the plane was mid-air near the airport

Panic broke out among Afghans a day after the Taliban announced the end of a 20-year Western experiment aimed at capturing the capital Kabul and rebuilding the country.

The Afghan government collapsed on Sunday after President Ashraf Ghani left the war-torn country and the Taliban captured Kabul and the presidential palace.

Five people were killed amid chaos at Kabul airport on Monday, eyewitnesses said. It was not clear whether they were shot or killed in a stampede.

Many Afghans fear the Taliban will return to past harsh practices in their imposition of sharia religious law. During their rule, women could not work and punishments such as stoning, whipping and hanging were administered.
