23-year-old Gujarat Woman Hangs Herself To Death After Boyfriend Threatens To Make Sex Chats ‘viral’
The reason behind the girl’s extreme step unravelled when her father checked her belongings
Mumbai: In Gujarat’s Gandhinagar a 23-year-old young woman allegedly ended her life by hanging herself, after her boyfriend threatened to make their sex chats ‘viral’.
As per reports, her ex-boyfriend repeatedly threatened to make their sex chats ‘viral’ on groups having their friends as members.
The matter came into the limelight after an FIR was lodged by the Mansa police on Friday. The woman’s body was cremated and the police were not informed about her death, as her father feared social stigma.
On Monday, her father, who had gone to a hospital to get her niece treated, learnt of her death from his son, following which he came rushing to the house. After reaching home, he found his daughter dead body surrounded by their neighbours.
On Tuesday, the reason behind the girl’s extreme step was revealed when her father checked her belongings, including her diary, mobile phone and bag. In her diary, she had written that Rushi Patel, a native of Gandhinagar’s Nardipur village, had been threatening to post their sex chats on their friend’s group. She had ended their relationship but he, however, still wanted to be in a relationship with her, according to a report by The Times of India.
The now-deceased woman, further stated that he was threatening that he would end his life and put the blame on her for driving him to take the extreme step. Due to this, she decided to kill herself, her father stated in his complaint to the police.
She had graduated from a college in Gandhinagar last year.
