Mumbai: Telangana saw 276 fresh cases of coronavirus, with a total infection count of about 2.91 lakhs, while a fatal incident brought the toll to 1,572.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) accounted for the most cases with 53, followed by Rangareddy and Medchal Malkajgiri with 23 and 18 respectively, a government bulletin providing details as of 8 pm on Thursday 13 January.
The total number of cases was 2,90,916 while the number of recoveries was 2,84,849.
On Wednesday, 4,495 patients are undergoing treatment and 28,894 samples were tested.
Cumulatively, more than 73.79 lakh samples have been tested. The Bulletin stated that the samples tested per million population were more than 1.98 lakh.
The case fatality rate in the state was 0.54 percent, while at the national level it was 1.4 percent.
The recovery rate in Telangana was 97.91 percent, while it was 96.5 percent in the country.
