4,291 Of Total 14,378 COVID-19 Cases Related To Nizamuddin Markaz: Health Ministry

Mumbai: The Union Health Ministry on Saturday said that out of a total of 14,378 COVID-19 cases in the country, 4,291 related to the event held in Nizamuddin Markaz in the national capital.

“Out of a total of 14,378 positive cases, 4,291 cases, about 29.8 per cent, belong to the Nizamuddin Markaz cluster from one source and are affected by 23 states and union territories including Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana.” Agarwal, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, said here during the daily briefing on COVID-19.

“84 per cent of cases in Tamil Nadu, 63 per cent of cases in Delhi, 79 per cent of cases in Telangana, 59 per cent in UP and 61 per cent in Andhra Pradesh are related to this incident,” Agarwal said.

According to Agarwal, a total of 14,378 people have tested positive for the infection so far and there have been 480 deaths across the country due to coronovirus.
