Delhi CM Kejriwal Announces Rs 1 Cr Compensation If One Dies While Dealing With COVID-19 Patients

Mumbai: In a recent development, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Saturday that the state government would give Rs 1 crore to the families of all those who died while dealing with coronovirus patients.

Kejriwal while addressing a press conference here said: “If any doctors, nurses, sanitation workers in hospitals, lab technicians contract the infection and die because of it while attending to the patients of COVID-19, then the Delhi government will give a compensation of Rs 1 crore to their family.”

Chief Minister Kejriwal also said that a total of 60 sanitation machines have been deployed in the city.

“A total of 60 sanitation machines have been deployed in the city and most places have already been cleaned up,” he said.

Kejriwal also appealed to the people to maintain social distance while staying in the relationship zone.

He said, “There are 71 construction zones in the city. I request people to stay in their homes and not go to a neighbour’s house.”
