Mumbai: On Saturday, an official said the coronavirus virus reached 3,67,610 in the Thane district of Maharashtra, with 6,176 people testing positive for the infection.
Apart from these new cases that surfaced on Friday, the virus also claimed the lives of 26 persons, which caused the death of 6,664 people in the district.
He said that the death rate of COVID-19 in the district is 1.81 per cent.
So far, 3,09,349 patients have been recovered from the infection and the recovery rate is 84.15 per cent.
The official said that at present there are 51,597 active cases in the district
In neighbouring Palghar district, the COVID-19 case count grew to 56,636, while the death toll is 1,252, another official said.
