64 Police Personnel Found COVID-19 Positive Till Now In Maharashtra
Mumbai: The state police said on Wednesday that a total of 64 police personnel have so far been found to be coronovirus positive in Maharashtra.
According to the Maharashtra Police, “12 police officers and 52 policemen have been found to be coronovirus positive so far in the state”.
As per the data, 62,987 cases have been registered under Section 188 of IPC for violation of lockout from 22 March to 22 April. The number of persons violating quarantine measures by the police is 595.
“477 accused have been arrested in cases of assault on policemen. There are 134 of the total incidents of assault on police.
Police said 13,869 people have been arrested for violations during the coronovirus lockdown until 4 a.m. on March 22.
A total of 44,135 vehicles have been seized.
