7 UP Policemen Suspended After Death Of Unnao Rape Victim

Mumbai: Soon after 24-year-old unnao rape victim died, it has been reported that around the Uttar Pradesh government suspended seven policemen for the negligence of duty.

Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Avneesh Awasthi told the news agency PTI, “Ajay Kumar Tripathi, Police Station Officer, Unnao’s Bihar Police Station, along with six other police personnel, suspended for negligence while on duty in case of death of rape victim. has gone.”

The family, who initially said that they would perform the last rites only after Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s visit, would consider his demand to give one of the family members a job after getting assurances from the government. Meshram and Inspector General of Police SK Bhagat spoke to the woman’s father and brother before they agreed to bury the woman.

The victim, who was raped last year, opened fire on Thursday morning while she was going to Rae Bareli in connection with the court case she had filed. Five accused persons, including the two who had allegedly raped her, were arrested soon. The woman was laid to rest in a piece of land belonging to her family, where the tomb of her grandparents is located.

Earlier in the day, Meshram said that family members would be provided with a house under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. “The victim’s sister will also be given separate protection as she can be a witness. A person from the family [as decided by them) will be given a government job … If any family member wants an arms license for self-defence, it will be given after completing the prescribed procedure of law, “Meshram said.
