Delhi Air Quality Moves To “Moderate” Category, Schools Reopened
Mumbai: In a huge relief for Delhiites, the air quality has improved since the last two days the quality of air moved from the “poor” category to the “moderate” category.
However, some areas continue to remain in the “poor” category.
According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) air quality index (AQI) data, major pollutants PM2.5 were recorded at 188 and PM10 at 174 in Lodhi Road, 103 at Aya Nagar, Burung crossing at 183 and CRRI. Was recorded in Mathura Road recorded 192 air quality levels.
In areas such as ITO (215), Dwarka Sector 6 (226) and Jahangirpuri (249), AQI is still in the “poor” category.
With the morning sunshine, the townspeople breathed a sigh of relief.
“Last week it was very difficult to step out of the house, but since day two, although the air quality is still poor, we can at least take a walk,” Wilhirgen told ANI.
Well, all private and government schools in Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) reopened on Monday after being closed due to the rise in pollution levels.
On Sunday the overall air quality in Delhi continued to remain in the ‘very poor’ category for the second consecutive day, according to System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR).
