Mumbai Soon To Get A 1000 Beds In COVID19 Hospital

Mumbai: The city of dreams has now become a nightmare for millions of people in the city. With more than 64000 COVID19 cases, Mumbai is the worst city in India.

With the increasing number of cases in mind, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has set up a special COVID19 hospital of 1000 beds in the Byculla area of the city.

The hospital is set up in Richardson and Cruddas, an engineering company’s premises, which will be operational by the end of this month.

Out of 1000 beds, 300 are ICU beds with oxygen supply and other facilities.

Few days before, a 1000 bed COVID19 hospital was set up in the neighbouring city of Thane, which is also badly affected by the deadly virus.

Maharashtra state alone has 30% of India’s total COVID19 cases.
