A J&K School Teacher Beaten By Students For Supporting The Abrogation Of Article 370

Mumbai: A J&K school teacher Sukh Dev Chand from Ramban area was allegedly beaten up by his students for supporting the government’s move to abrogate the article 370 on Monday. The teacher claimed that a few students entered his class and started beating him up.

According to the teacher, he had answered the student’s queries about the abrogation of article 370 and what procedure is followed for the same. He had also added that what the government was doing was nowhere undemocratic or illegal and that the government of India was following adequate steps for the abrogation. However, a group of students entered his class the next day.

“On Monday I was teaching students when a group of 7-8 people entered my class and called names of two people. I thought they had some personal issues, like a fight that needed to be resolved so I asked them what went wrong. Just after that one of them used foul language and started beating me,” said the teacher Sukh Dev Chand.

The teacher claimed that one of the students had locked the classroom and later when the teacher talked with other students, he realised that all the classrooms were locked. Sukh Dev Chand was reported to be unconscious for 24 hours after he was been beaten by the students as well as the outsiders who accompanied them in the classroom.

BJP general secretary Yudhvir Sethi expressed his discontent towards the incident and questioned all those who tried to disturb the peace of the valley. He directly asked Congress and the Tukde Tukde gang as to why they were being vocal about this incident now.

He said, “It is a shameful thing that a teacher who tried to create awareness about the article 370 amongst the students was beaten up by the students and outsiders. On one side the government is trying to create awareness about article 370 by stating the article’s benefits while on the other people are harassing a teacher.”

He further called the Tukde Tukde gang and Congress. He said, “Now where is the Tukde Tukde gang? Where are Rahul Gandhi and team? All those who came in the valley and tried to disturb the peace of the region.”

Sethi claimed that the Tukde Tukde gang is now disappointed over their loss of contact with Pakistan. “The tukde tukde gang is not here anymore because they are sad over the fact that after the abrogation of article 370 there will no longer be any contact with Pakistan. And that Tukde Tukde gang could not cut the nation in pieces.”
