Mumbai: Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday said that the Assam government has set a target of providing COVID-19 vaccination to three lakh people daily for the next 10 days from Monday.
Addressing a press conference here, Sarma said there would be no government work in the next one week and the entire machinery would be involved in the vaccination exercise.

“This is a part of our advanced vaccination campaign.
From June 21, we will target three lakh vaccinations daily till June 30,” he said after reviewing the preparedness with all the stakeholders.

The chief minister announced that government offices would reopen from July 1 and asked employees to get vaccinated within this month.
He also urged the employees of private enterprises to get their jobs, as the state government may allow such offices to operate from next month till 5 pm.
