Akhilesh Yadav Appeals For Observing ‘Lakhimpur Kisan Memorial Day’ On 3rd Of Every Month

Yadav also appealed to all the people of the state to light 'Kisan Smriti Deep' on November 3

Mumbai: Former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday appealed that ‘Lakhimpur Kisan Memorial Day’ should be observed on the third day of every month to remind people of the brutality of the Bhartiya Janta Party.

This is an appeal to all residents of UP, well=wishers of farmers, SP and other allied parties to observe ‘Lakhimpur Kisan Memorial Day’ on the 3rd of every month from now on and remind people of the brutality of BJP,” Yadav said in a tweet.

Eight people, including 4 farmers were killed in Uttar Pradesh’s Lakhimpur Kheri on October 3 as violence erupted during the farmers’ protest.

Local farmers blame Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Ajay Kumar Mishra ‘Teni’ and his son for the violence. The Uttar Pradesh Police has so far arrested three people including Ashish Mishra, son of MoS Teni.

A vehicle that was part of the minister’s convoy allegedly crushed the now deceased at Lakhimpur Kheri. MoS Teni, on the other hand, denied the allegations, claiming that his son was not present in the incident.

Appealing to all the people of the state to light ‘Kisan Smriti Deep’ on November 3, he said that by lighting a lamp in the memory of farmers, the honour of the food donors will be increased, reported by Amrut Vichar.
