Any Plans To Enter In Bollywood? ‘Never’ Says South Actress Samantha Akkineni

Mumbai: When it comes to south films Samantha Akkineni is one the best actors in several Tamil and Telugu films. Meanwhile, she brought in to notice that she has no plans to venture into Bollywood and expand her fan base.

In a recent interview, Samantha was asked when she would enter the Hindi film industry, and she said, “Never!”
“As I said now, I am from Chennai, it is like this, south of South. The thing is, I am just about understanding my people and my culture and what is that they like to see in movies. Still learning how to get it, what do they want from a movie, what is that they want to see, what do they expect from a character when I am playing it … I am just about figuring that out,” she said.

According to Samantha, she is still in the process of understanding the audience’s preferences in the South, and in Bollywood, there will be a “perfect foreigner”. She said, “I have no information about the world that is Bollywood. I will just be drowned and completely aloof.”

“I still feel like I have more to give them, down South,” she added.

Along with her acting career, Samantha is a leading celebrity endorser for brands and products, while she also started her own NGO, Pratyusha Support in 2012 to provide medical support for women and children. Samantha, made her big screen debut with Gautham Menon’s Telugu film Ye Maaya Chesave, has delivered several hits including Theri, Rangasthalam, Mersal and Super Deluxe.
