AP Records 21,954 New COVID-19 Cases, 72 Deaths

Mumbai: For the third consecutive day, Andhra Pradesh reported more than 20,000 cases of coronovirus in the 24 hours ending at 9 am on Thursday, bringing the gross to 12,28,186.

The latest bulletin states that 1,10,147 tests yielded 21,954 fresh positivity in 24 hours.

It has also been said that 10,141 patients recovered, while 72 more died in a day.

The total recovery now stood at 10,37,411 and toll 8,446. The active caseload was 1,82,329.

After a total of 1.70 crore tests, the positivity rate of total infection in the state increased to 7.15 per cent, slightly above the national average of 7.05 per cent.

The overall recovery rate was 85.16 per cent while the death rate remained stable at 0.69 per cent.

According to government data, 25,000 COVID-19 patients were on oxygen and ventilator support in hospitals across the state, while around 1.25 lakh people were out of the house.
