According to the latest report from Boxofficeindia.com, the film grossed Rs 7.25 crore on its fifth day at the box office on Tuesday. The film has managed to collect a total of Rs 57.50 crore in five days at the box office.
‘Dream Girl’ is expected to cross the lifetime collection of Ayushmann Khurrana’s previous release this year ‘Article 15’. If the film maintains this steady hold across the week, it can also cross the collections of ‘Andhadhun’ in eight days. However, it is not certain whether the film can reach a total of ‘Badhaai Ho’..
The plot of the film revolves around Karamveer (Ayushmann Khurrana), who works in a friendly call centre called Pooja and can speak in a melodious voice. When her customers fall in love with Pooja, the situation becomes very difficult for her.
The film also features Annu Kapoor, Vijay Raj, Abhishek Banerjee, Manjot Singh, Nidhi Bisht, Rajesh Sharma, Raj Bhansali.
Written and starring Raj Shandilya, which will be his directorial debut, ‘Dream Girl’ is produced by Ekta Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor and Ashish Singh. The film hit the screens today on 13 September.
