Bank Manager From Rajasthan Shot Dead In Jammu And Kashmir’s Kulgam
Mumbai: A bank manager named Vijay Kumar from Rajasthan was shot dead by terrorists in Kulgam, South Kashmir.
Police said that Kumar was the bank manager at Ellaquai Dehati Bank in Kulgam district and was a resident of Hanumangarh in Rajasthan.
He later succumbed to his injuries.
“Terrorists fired upon a bank manager at Ellaqie Dehati Bank at Areh Mohanpora in Kulgam district. He received grievous gunshot injuries in this terror incident. He is a resident of Hanumangarh, Rajasthan,” ANI quoted J&K police as saying.
The area has been cordoned off, they added.
Meanwhile, members of the Hindu community working in Kashmir staged a protest in Jammu demanding the safety of their community members.
This comes two days after a Kashmiri Pandit teacher was shot dead by terrorists in Kulgam district. She was working in a high school in Gopalpur area. The deceased has been identified as Rajni Bala.
On May 12, another Rahul Bhat, who was also a Kashmiri Pandit, was shot dead inside the tehsildar’s office in Chadoora tehsil of Budgam district.
