Bengal Logs 2,783 New COVID-19 Cases, 7 More Deaths

Mumbai: The state health department said that on Thursday, seven COVID-19 fatalities were reported in West Bengal, which is 10,370 in the state.

The department said in its bulletin that the coronavirus virus reached 6,02,807 in at least 2,783 recent cases.

Accordingly, the number of active cases increased to 16,109.

Since Wednesday, 957 recoveries were recorded in the state, with a discharge rate of 95.61 per cent currently. A total of 5,76,328 people have been cured of the infectious disease so far.

Three of the seven deaths were reported in Kolkata.

The bulletin states that 93,96,694 samples have been tested so far in the state, including 33,499 in the last 24 hours.
