BJP-Sena Looks To Continue Their Power In Maharashtra

Mumbai: As expected in exit polls, BJP Shivsena is on course to retain their power in Maharashtra

BJP is leading in 99, Shiv-Sena 61, Cong 41, NCP 49 and Independents are ahead in 15 seats as per trends available so far as per the Election Commission figures.

It seems like Sharad Pawar has led his NCP better than his parent party i.e, Congress. As their numbers are far better than that of 2014.

Though PM and CM rallied in Satara for Udayanraje Bhosale people are choosing NCP’s Shrinivas Patil as he leads by 10,000 votes.

As expected, former deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar has established a comfortable lead over his BJP rival Gopichand Padalkar in Baramati. 

Youngblood, Aditya Thackrey is leading from Worli against NCP’s Suresh Mane.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is leading by 5,103 votes from Nagpur South West assembly seat against Congress candidate and former BJP MLA Ashish Deshmukh.

Former NCP minister and now BJP candidate from Airoli in Navi Mumbai, Ganesh Naik is leading with 8,085 votes and Vaibhav Pichad of BJP is trailing behind NCP’s Kiran Lahamate by 10,671 votes in Akole segment in Ahmednagar district. He is the son of former NCP minister Madhukarrao Pichard.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is doing good at his home i.e, at Nagpur, as he is leading by 5,103 votes from Nagpur South West assembly seat against Congress candidate and former BJP MLA Ashish Deshmukh.

NCP leaders and former chief ministers of Maharashtra Ashok Chavan and Prithviraj Chavan are leading in Bhokar in Nanded district and Karad in Satara district, respectively.

An official said counting of votes for all the 288 Assembly segments began at 8 am on Thursday at 269 locations in the state.

As per the data, the polling held on Monday saw a voter turnout of 61.13 per cent, a dip from the 63.20 per cent recorded in 2014.
