BJP, Shiv Sena To Announce Its Seat Sharing For Lok Sabha Election

Mumbai: Senior BJP leader Sanjay Raut said to PTI that the party between BJP and its ally Shiv Sena is preparing to announce a seat-sharing for the upcoming elections.

BJP president Amit Shah is scheduled to arrive in Matoshree, the residence of Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, while another leader of the alliance said.

Raut said to PTI, “Today, Uddhavji and BJP national president Amit Shah will announce the formula for seat-sharing for the Lok Sabha elections, which is a few months away.

Shiv Sena announced its decision to go alone in the future elections last year. However, both parties fought in some legislative council seats with mutual understanding, a BJP leader said.

While the BJP had indicated that it would like to form an alliance with it for the coming Lok Sabha elections, the Sena had so far been giving mixed signals.
