BJP’s Countdown In Uttar Pradesh Has Begun, Says AkhileshYadav

Mumbai: Hitting out at CM Yogi Adityanath after completing two-and-a-half years, Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav said on Friday that the countdown has started for the BJP government in the state.

Yadav said, “The countdown has begun for the Uttar Pradesh government. We will follow the path of great leaders like Dr BR Ambedkar and Ram Manohar Lohia to fulfil our dreams,” Press conference here.

The former chief minister also welcomed several new members to the party and said the party is open to accepting anyone into its fold, noting that they share similar ideologies.

Yadav said, “The poor people are being humiliated in the state. The direction in which the UP government is going is not right. People of all different religions live in harmony in this country and it is our speciality. The uniqueness needs to be retained.”

In the veiled attack, the SP chief accused the BJP of suppressing cases against party leader Azam Khan, who has more than 80 FIRs registered in the state.

The direction in which “Why were these people (complainants) silent for years and now only coming out? These people were called to the offices and asked to file a complaint against Azam Khan. They are being targeted because they Schools and universities have been created. Educate children in the state, “Yadav said.
