Centre To Release SOPs To Speed-Up Resumption Of Film Production: Prakash Javadekar

Mumbai: Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar said on Tuesday that the centre would issue a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to resume film production, which stalled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said, “In view of the epidemic, the government will issue a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the shooting of the film in India, which will resume film production. Address on ‘FICCI Frames 2020’, Which is an international conference of the Indian film industry.

He said, “The government is promoting all productions including TV serials, film production, co-production, animation, gaming. These will be announced soon.”

Previously, the shooting of films, teleserials, advertisements, OTT platforms was stopped in view of the coronavirus epidemic, which later resumed in the month of June.
