Mumbai: According to PTI report the chiefs of the Indian Air Force and Naval will get the Z-plus security cover after a fresh assessment of their threat perception by the security agencies, officials said.

In view of the increased tension with Pakistan, this decision was taken in view of the threat of Indian Air Force Chief Air Marshal BS Dhanoa and Navy Staff Chief Admiral Sunil Lamba.

Government officials said that the heads of air staff and naval staff will be given Z-plus security. Army Chief General Bipin Rawat has already been given Z-plus security.

PTI quoted the officer saying that the proximity of the chiefs of the Air Force and Navy Staff will be given by the commandos of the security forces and peripheral protection by central and state security agencies.

The tension aimed from February 14, when suicide bomber car ramped into CRPF bus which killed 40 CRPF jawans in Pulwama district. A convoy of 75 buses was passing from Jammu to Srinagar. Jaish-e-Mohammed took responsibility for this attack.
