Collecting Data, Will Expose Wrongdoings Of NCB: NCP Leader Nawab Malik

Mumbai: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Nawab Malik on Thursday said that he is collecting more data and information to expose the wrongdoings of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).

This comes amid ongoing cases that were registered by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) after a raid on a Mumbai cruise on Saturday in which Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan was one of those arrested.

While his tweet initially stated that the press conference would take place on Friday, October 1, at 3 pm, it was later rescheduled to 12 noon on Friday before being scheduled for 12 noon on Saturday.

Explaining the reschedule, Malik said: “I am collecting more data and information to expose the wrongdoings of the NCB and therefore I am rescheduling my Press Conference.”

Earlier this week, Malik alleged that BJP leaders were part of the NCB raid and claimed that a man named KP Gosavi was seen bringing Aryan Khan to the NCB office. Malik told reporters that he also took a selfie with Aryan. After the selfie went viral, the NCB issued a statement saying that the person has nothing to do with the agency. Malik shared a screenshot of Gosavi’s Facebook profile, in which the latter claims to be a ‘private spying agent’.

Malik said that in another video, a man is escorting Arbaaz Merchant, who has been kept with Aryan in the NCB office. He alleged that the said person is Manish Bhanushali, vice-president of the BJP branch. Malik also showed pictures of men with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Devendra Fadnavis and others.

Malik demanded that the NCB should answer what private people like Gosavi and Bhanushali were doing during a high-profile raid.

The minister further said that Bhanushali was in Gujarat on September 21 and 22, when the drugs were seized at the Mundra port.

Responding to the media, the NCB told the media that the two persons named Malik are independent witnesses. A person in question, Manish Bhanushali told ANI that he will file a defamation case against Malik and the BJP has nothing to do with the arrest.
