COVID19: Now Pay Entry Fee To Enter Market Areas In Nashik

Mumbai: To prevent the spread of the COVID-19 second wave by ensuring a drop in market places, the Nashik administration is issuing a ticket of five rupees per person to enter the market area for one hour.

Deepak Pandey, Commissioner of Police said, “We are using a different approach to include COVID-19 spread across Nashik. We are issuing a ticket of Rs 5 per person. This is an attempt to save the city from going into lockdown.”

Maharashtra recorded 27,918 new COVID-19 cases and 139 deaths in the last 24 hours, reported the state health department on Tuesday.

With these recent cases, the cumulative count of COVID-19 infections in the state is 27,73,436. So far 23,77,127 people have recovered from the disease. The state currently has 3,40,542 active cases, while the death toll in the state has risen to 54,422.
