Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Held Executive Meetings With His Japanese Counterpart In Tokya

Mumbai: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh held an executive talk with the Japanese Defence Minister Takeshi Iwaya. It was an annual defence ministerial dialogue between the two officials which aims to strengthen the relationship between the two nations.

The meeting was aimed towards enhancing the Special strategic and Global Partnership between the two countries and discussions about enhancing the bilateral defence and security engagement between the two nations.

The Indian Defence Minister also laid a wreath at the self-defence force memorial in Tokyo. He was also given a guard of honour.

The Indian Rajnath Singh is on a five-day visit to Japan and South Korea, which began on Sunday. It is reported that the Minister will travel to Seol from Tokyo on September 4 where he will hold talks with top military officers.

“The focus of a visit to South Korea will be to explore new areas of defence cooperation including co-development of military hardware,” an official said.
