Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal Shows Concern Over Increasing Crime In City

Mumbai: Expressing his concern over increasing crime in capital state CM Arvind Kejriwal stated that the city is witnessing a ‘dangerous spurt’ in serious crime.

He also slammed Delhi police saying “whose door should be knocked for safety and security of Delhiites?.

“Delhi is witnessing a dangerous spurt in serious crimes. An elderly couple and their domestic help murdered in Vasant Vihar. Nine murders reported in the last 24 hours across the city. Whose door should be knocked for safety & security of Delhiites?” he tweeted saying.

This comes a day after, bodies of elderly couple and their caretaker was found with their throats slit at house in southwest Delhi’s Vasant Vihar.

Soon after CM’s tweet Delhi Police tweeted and claimed that crimes in the city were decreased by 10 per cent compared to 2018.

“No such increase in crime in Delhi. Overall heinous crimes down by 10 % this year compared to 2018. Similarly heinous crimes committed against senior citizens also down by 22% due to preventive efforts of Delhi police,” Delhi Police tweeted saying.

Meanwhile, the triple murder case of two elderly couple and their caretaker has solved by the Delhi police and accused has been arrested
