“Those who believe they can do anything with the help of Police, I want to tell them a BJP worker will not be scared of anyone. Not just one, you can file a hundred FIRs. I am not going to be afraid. I thank Haryana and Delhi Police and all BJP workers for supporting me. Delhi Police has filed FIR & people concerned will be punished,” Bagga said.

Describing his detention as “illegal”, the BJP leader said he will continue to fight till Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal apologizes for his remarks on Kashmiri Pandits.

“I will not bow down. This fight will continue and Arvind Kejriwal’s pride will be crushed,” he said.

The convoy carrying Punjab Police officials and Bagga was stopped by Haryana cops after the Delhi Police registered a kidnapping case based on a complaint by the BJP leader’s father.

The Haryana Police surrounded the Punjab Police vehicle carrying the BJP leader and drove him off the highway and took him to a police station in Kurukshetra.

Later, the Punjab and Haryana High Court turned down AAP-ruled Punjab’s demand that Bagga should remain in Haryana instead of being handed over to the Delhi Police.

The Haryana Police acted on the request of the Delhi Police, which moved the court for a search warrant based on the kidnapping complaint. A team of Delhi Police reached Kurukshetra with a search warrant in hand and rescued Bagga and brought him back to the national capital.

Earlier this month, the Punjab Police registered a case against the BJP leader on charges of making a provocative statements, promoting religious enmity, and criminal intimidation for targeting Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal over his comments on ‘The Kashmir Files’.
