Emphasizing that Somnath temple should represent the identity of new India, PM Modi said that in the history of hundreds of years, Somnath temple was demolished many times, idols were desecrated here, every effort was made to erase its existence. But every time it was made to fall, it rose again.

“The destructive forces and the people who think of building an empire by spreading terror may dominate for some time but their existence is not permanent. It cannot suppress humanity for a long time,” PM Modi said

“I express my sincere gratitude to all members of Somnath trust and Somanth devotees across the world who made this possible,” the Prime Minister said.

“When I talk about ‘Bharat jodo andolan’ (unite India movement), it is not just about geographical and ideological connection. But an oath to create a new India with the legacy of our history. Ram Temple is being developed as a strong pillar of our new India,” he added.

The Parvati temple is proposed to be constructed with a total outlay of Rs 30 crore. This includes the construction of the temple in the Sompura Salat style, the development of the sanctum sanctorum and the dance pavilion.
