Mumbai: Seeking support for his son actor Dharmendra said Sunny’s victory in elections will be a win of the people of this constituency.
When he said that Congress candidate from the seat, Sunil Jakhar had invited Deol to debate with him on local issues, Dharmendra said that “we have not come here to debate but listen to people’s pain”.
Sunny cannot argue, Sunil has experience (politics) and his father (Balram Jakhar) was a politician, we have come from the film industry, we have not come here for the debate, we hear people’s pain here, “she said.
“I was watching Sunny’s roadshow from Mumbai and there was a huge crowd at the road show. I became emotional. I know people love us, but I was surprised to see so much love,” Dharmendra said.
Dharmendra further said that he was once asked to contest from the Patiala seat by the BJP, but he refused.
“I told them that the Amarinder Singh family loves me a lot and his wife (Parneet Kaur) is like my sister and told them that I will not contest elections from Patiala,” he said.
