EAM S Jaishankar Expressed His Grief Over American-Sikh Police Murder Of Sandeep Singh Dhaliwal

Mumbai: Minister of State for External Affairs S. Jaishankar on Saturday expressed grief and mourned the brutal, cold-blooded murder of Sandeep Singh Dhaliwal, America’s first Sikh police officer in Houston.

“Deeply grieved to learn of the shooting of Deputy Sandeep Singh Dhaliwal, a Sikh Indian-American officer in Houston. We have just visited that city. My condolences to his family,” Jaishankar said in a post on social media platform Twitter.

Dhaliwal was shot and killed while on duty Friday afternoon during a traffic stop, as he was shot by a man who was in a car that Dhaliwal stopped at a traffic stop. He was rushed to Memorial Harman Hospital, where he succumbed. He is survived by his wife and three children.
