ED Arrested Defense Agent In Case Of VVIP Helicopters

Mumbai: Officials said, that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested a defence agent of Delhi in connection with a Rs 3,600-crore VVIP helicopter deal case.

They said that Sushan Mohan Gupta was arrested by the agency on Monday night under the Money Laundering Prevention Act (PMLA).

“Deals have been reported in defence deals, including AgustaWestland helicopter deal,” they said.

ED officials said that Gupta’s role in the case has surfaced on the basis of disclosures made by Rajeev Saxena who, after being recently removed from the UAE and arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), approved the case. Has given

It is suspected that Gupta has taken some payment details in the purchase of VVIP helicopters and the link has to be unpublished, he said.

Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and ED have filed several charge sheets in the case and former IAF chief SP Tyagi and members of his family have been accused.
