Farmers’ Protest Is Movement To Restore India’s Democratic Value: Akhilesh Yadav

Mumbai: Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav said that farmers are agitating in and around Delhi to restore the democratic value of the country.

That is the reason every citizen of the country is also emotionally connecting with the farmers’ protest to save democracy in India,” the former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh tweeted in Hindi.

The Uttar Pradesh police had tweeted this after the SP chief was taken into custody while he was sitting on a dharna in Lucknow on Monday.

Earlier, Yadav and his party workers also protested as their vehicles were stopped by the state police to go to Kannauj.

The SP chief has demanded that the Center repeal the agricultural laws.
